grand canyon

how does somebody even start to describe the experience of visiting the grand canyon? i have seen countless pictures, t.v. shows, and documentaries about the grand canyon in the past, but nothing can compare to the awe-inspiring sheer sensation of seeing it with my bare naked eyes.

in my three days of stay there between christmas and the new year of 2007, i have experienced one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. i saw nature play with colors like i have never seen before. there was harmony amongst the sunshine, snow, forests, and even wildlife. it is indeed grand! in fact, to describe it as 'grand' is an understatement. it is magnificent, powerful, unbelievable, beautiful, intense, and spirit moving! but most of all, i am convinced that the grand canyon is a gift from god.

though none of the images that you will see in this gallery can even come close to the magnificence that is the grand canyon, i will do my best to capture its beauty through my work. please take time to look at the details and the scale of the subjects. it is my desire to convey the feelings i felt when i took each photograph. if you have been there, chances are, you already know what I am talking about. if you have not been to the grand canyon, i hope that you will one day get the chance to experience it as i have. it is only then that you will fully feel one of the most beautiful show of nature, the way only the grand canyon can deliver!
